SEEDS (Excerpt)

A Certain Kind Of Dreaming

You, Me & The IGP: SEEDS | A Certain Kind of Dreaming

SEEDS | A Certain Kind of Dreaming

The “SEEDS booklet and the companion film “A Certain Kind of Dreaming” represented the Me of the 3 part installation You, Me & The IGP .

Growing from a diaristic journal written as I went along, the pieces look at different layers of what arose from my residency at the IGP.

SEEDS is a collection of vignettes that traces the journey of the residency. Situating it in wider policy and social contexts, it considers what the implications might be for both.

A Certain Kind Of Dreaming uses free to use stock footage to meditate on a specific dimension of the reflections. It asks what they might say about us as human beings and the lived experience that informs those policy and social contexts.

Together they expressed my reflections on socially engaged practice in a policy setting.

You, Me & The IGP

From November 2024 - April 2025 I was Artist in Residence at the Institute for Global Prosperity based out of UCL.

Embedding myself in their ongoing activity, the residency allowed me to situate my practice in relation to their work and in a wider policy context.

In this sense the residency was a conversation between our respective practices.

Exhibiting October 2025, “You, Me & The IGP” was a 3 part installation piece that distilled and represents that conversation – and extended it to include the wider public too.

It weaved together interactive props, participatory experiences and artist moving image to take the audience on a journey.

One that showcased the work of the residency and invited engagement with the themes of that work too.
